The Braintree Center for Business Innovation announces the addition of an Manufacturing and Technology Small Business Development Center (MTSBDC). Ken Cline has agreed to accept the position of Director of the MTSBDC. Ken come to Braintree as the the previous Director of the Manufacturing Initiative.
Agribusiness Forums
The SBDC at Ashland University and the MTSBDC at Braintree, continued with the Agribusiness Forums on May 23, 2008. The Agribusiness Forum was held at the Beuhler's Fresh Food Market in Ashland. This month's forum focused on an overview of USDA and the guest speaker was John Miller, USDA's Area Director for Northeast Ohio. For video coverage of the event from WMFD click here.
Manufacturing Fair
Ken Cline of the Manufacturing Competitiveness Initiative (currently MTSBDC)hosted a Manufacturing Fair at the Kehoe Center on April 17, 2008. The Manufacturing Fair promotes jobs in manufacturing. With an emphasis on showing High School Students that manufacturing is no longer a dirty dangerous job and many opportunities exist in high tech positions at many of the local companies.
